Happy Father's Day, Sweet Readers!
Today in the USA we celebrate Father's Day, and I have to say, it is a day that is very close to my heart.
My own precious father is still alive and going strong at the remarkable age of 93! Next month he will be making a 14-hour trip with my sister and her husband to come visit me, and I could not be more grateful or excited! He may be a little slower than he used to be, but he is still getting around, and that is a gift beyond measure. 💕
My dad instilled in me a love for God, a commitment to honesty, and was never afraid of loving discipline. I always tell people that my first "boyfriend" was my dad! He taught me what the love of a good man truly looks like, and because of that foundation, both my sister and I were blessed to marry honorable and wonderful men. 😊
I am also so grateful for my own husband, who this year marks 38 years of marriage with me! He is a loving and humble father to our daughter, and I could not be more proud of the man he is. 💕
For those who grew up without a father in their lives, my heart goes out to you today. 💔 Let us pray for the men of America, that no matter their circumstances, they will choose to be present and set a loving example for their children.
